The Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) Rule was designed to provide assurances that foreign suppliers produce food using processes and procedures that provide the same level of public health protection as those manufactured in the United States, including foods that are not adulterated or misbranded, especially in respect to food safety and allergens.

Developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), this course is designed to help you understand how to meet FSVP requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act. This 1.5 day course is taught in-person and will provide participants with an understanding of the basic requirements of the FSVP Rule for importers of human foods, as the Food and Drug Administration has provided flexibility on implementation of this Rule due to the variability of importations.

The Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance will provide a training certificate for participants after successful completion of this course.
