The Food Safety Modernization Act requires mandatory personnel training for 3 of the 7 foundational rules:
- Preventive Controls for Human Food
- Preventive Controls for Animal Food
- Produce Safety
Completion of both the Human and Animal food courses will certify the participant as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI).
FDA recognized training courses are offered for all three rules through NC State University in conjunction with Cooperative Extension. Find a course time and location that suits your needs!
All available Preventive Controls training courses for Human and Animal food can be found on the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) website. All upcoming Produce Safety Rule training courses can be found on the Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) website.
